Celebrate the magic of the holiday season with Brooksville Main Street and “North Pole” Presenting Sponsor, Lowman Law Firm at the annual Christmas on Main Tree Lighting event! This cherished tradition will take place on Saturday December 6th, 2025 from 3:00PM - 9:00 PM right in the heart of historic Downtown Brooksville.
Join us for an evening filled with festive cheer, holiday music, and the lighting of our beautiful Christmas tree that will shine throughout the season. The tree lighting is a family-friendly event that brings our community together to ring in the holiday season with joy and celebration.
Highlights of this year’s event include:
· Live Performance by Live Oak Theatre performing festive music and holiday classics.
· More Entertainment and Fun: Enjoy performances from local dance groups, churches and schools!
· Christmas Craft Market: Browse holiday-themed treats and handcrafted gifts from local vendors and downtown merchants, perfect for holiday shopping.
· Photos with Santa: Get your picture taken with Santa Claus and share your holiday wishes!
· Watch Patricia’s Windows Come to Life: A Holiday Window Display Bringing Magic to Main Street!
The grand moment of the evening will be the official lighting of the Christmas tree, which will sparkle into life around 7 PM at the Hernando County Courthouse. Just imagine: Downtown Brooksville transforming into a radiant winter wonderland, with dazzling lights illuminating the night sky!

This holiday season, Brooksville Main Street is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Family Sensory Christmas Celebration on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 5:00PM - 9:00PM at Hernando Park located at 205 E Ft Dade Ave in Downtown Brooksville. This special event is designed to create a magical and inclusive holiday experience for families with children of all abilities, especially those with sensory sensitivities.
Understanding that the hustle and bustle of traditional holiday events can be overwhelming for some children, Brooksville Main Street has developed a sensory-friendly celebration that allows families to enjoy the magic of Christmas in a more comfortable and supportive environment.
Event Highlights Include:
· Sensory-Sensitive Santa Visit: Santa will greet children in a calm and quiet setting, offering an opportunity for personalized interactions without the long lines and loud noises.
· Low-Sensory Activities: A variety of holiday-themed crafts, sensory play stations, and activities designed to engage the senses in a gentle, stress-free way.
· Quiet Zones: Designated quiet areas will be available for families to take a break, relax, or decompress as needed.
· Adaptive Lighting and Sound: The event will feature soft lighting and lower sound levels to reduce sensory overload and ensure a more comfortable experience for everyone.
· Inclusive Environment: Volunteers trained to support children with sensory needs will be on hand to assist and ensure every child feels welcome and supported.
· Christmas Craft Market: where local artisans, crafters, and food vendors gather to bring you a festive shopping experience.
